- We seek to hire an Assistant Professor in Professional Writing who will serve as the Associate Director of First Year Composition.
PhD in Composition/Rhetoric or related area, with experience in first year composition. Publications and demonstrated teaching excellence required. Applicants in any area of composition, rhetoric, professional writing, or writing studies are welcome, but we are especially interested in research in one more of the following areas: writing theory and pedagogy, especially related to writing and/or program assessment; writing in community or workplace contexts; and/or composition and technology. Extensive curricular and program administration responsibility, including mentoring graduate teaching assistants who are new to teaching at Oklahoma State University. 2-1 teaching load plus the administrative load beginning August 2014.
